Épicerie Boulud & Sushi Of Gari

To celebrate our 6 year Anniversary, my boyfriend and I decided to go eat a nice sushi dinner at a restaurant called Sushi Of Gari.  We were both in the mood for some seafood and oysters so before our sushi dinner we visited a little market called Épicerie Boulud to get some appetizers.

Isabella's

On Sunday, February 17th my boyfriend and I went to brunch at a place called Isabella's.  This Manhattan restaurant seemed to be a very popular place for Sunday brunch.  Although I wasn't especially hungry we [for some reason] order a lot of food.

On Saturday, February 16th my boyfriend and I went to our favorite ramen noodle restaurant, Ippudo! These are our thoughts on the restaurant and the plates we shared.

Valentine's In New York

I just got back from my mini Valentine's vacation to NY!  I had such a fun time with my boyfriend and his friends, and wanted to share some of my experiences.

I got to my boyfriends place around 9pm on the 13th, so we didn't really have time to do much.  But, he did surprise me at midnight with an Anniversary/Valentine's day present.  I got the most amazing pair of Prada Baroque Sunglasses that I had been lusting over for quite a while.

Packing For Valentine's In NYC

I'm going to New York to visit my boyfriend for 7 days, and I am trying to figure out what I should pack.

The first thing I do when packing to go somewhere is figure out what the weather is projected to be.  For my trip the temperature should be high 30s, low 40s and sunny.  

The next thing I do is figure out any specific and general plans.  For my trip I will arrive in upstate NY on the evening of the 13th.  My boyfriend has class until 9pm on the 14th (Valentine's) so we're just planning to go see a late movie.  On the 15th we thought we could go out to a local bar with some of his friends.  For the 16th we are going into the city to celebrate a friend's Birthday.  We will be going out to a nice dinner and a bar/club afterwards.  We have no specific plans for the 17th and 18th, but we will likely enjoy a meal at one of our favorite noodle restaurants and I anticipate we will be doing quite a bit of walking.  I am leaving on the afternoon of the 19th.

Now the fun part: PICKING OUTFITS!!!

Hi everyone!  My name is Temi (pronounced T-Amy, Amy with a T is what I tell people).  I'm a 25 year old who is obsessed with fashion, beauty and all things girly.  I believe a wardrobe is very personal to each individual and I like to express myself with the outfits I wear.

Aside from fashion and other girly things, I have a passion for the medical field.  I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a biochemistry degree.  I am very interested in cancer and HIV research.  Having been born in Nigeria, I take education very seriously, because I realize that I'm blessed enough to take advantage of education in a way that many others in the world are unable to.

As you can imagine, it is often very difficult to feel womanly when focusing on school.  I am still trying to find a balance, so I wanted to create this blog to document some things I enjoy.
