This past month I celebrated my birthday, and was blessed enough to receive some items from my July Lust List. I've been able to do some window shopping and spend my birthday money on a few fun closet additions!

July Lust List
Being that my birthday is slowly approaching, I have been doing a lot of online window shopping (and buying). Many of the items from my July Lust List are items that I have on my birthday wish list.

Graduation
It has been forever since I updated my blog. This past year has been incredibly busy, but all of my hard work payed off when I graduated in May with a Masters Degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology!

May Lust List
This Lust List should be titled confessions of a SHOE-AHOLIC! I definitely went overboard with the shoe buying this month. Four pairs of shoes later, I'm now wanting to walk everywhere and show off my newest closet additions. I hope you enjoy my picks for this month!

April Lust List
This year seems to be flying by so quickly! This month has been extremely hectic for me. Unfortunately, I've found myself having very little time to update my blog as often as I would like. Anyways, here is my Lust List for the month of April!

March Lust List
As I wrote in my last blog post, this month has been such a crazy, whirlwind month for me. I have so much to look forward to, including molding my fashion viewpoint. For the last few weeks of this month I have been focused on building my professional wardrobe. Since I will be standing quite a bit in my new job, I have specifically been looking for comfortable yet fashionable shoes. I say all this to preface this months lust list. Many of the items that I have been lusting over for this month are more work appropriate than I would typically lean towards.

Fashion A To Z
A - Accessories
Accessories are the glue that hold a look together. Belts can define a waistline, scarves can add another dimension as a necklace or as part of a top, hats can give a cool edge to an outfit (not to mention cover up a bad hair day), glasses can accentuate and frame the face, and bags and purses function in holding pretty much our life essentials. Accessories are so versatile and can allow an outfit to be transformed into a wide variety of looks.
B - Budget
This is without a doubt the most important part of building a wardrobe. It's crucial to be a budget savvy fashionista as to not drive yourself into debt just because you want to get the newest pair of Louboutins. You never want to spend more than you are capable of maintaining. In this respect, it is important to set a weekly, monthly and yearly budget to keep yourself on track.
C - Color
People tend to gravitate towards certain colors. I gravitate towards bright, vibrant colors and warm hues. Knowing the colors you gravitate towards is important because it allows you to consciously pick colors that you may not otherwise have chosen. I try to step outside of my comfort zone and take fashion risks whenever I can and color is one of the easiest places to do this.

2013 Spring Style
Spring is just around the corner! As we set our clocks forward an hour and start the ever popular spring cleaning, it is about time that we begin to think of the styles we want to capture in our wardrobe for the season. There are a multitude of trends that could be touched on, but I'm just going to focus on a few of my favorites. This is MY list of some of the hottest spring styles that will be sure to be seen in the upcoming season. For the most part the items pictured are items that I have or would love to have, and they capture a bit of my own personal style.
The Black & White trend might be the biggest trend of the season, probably most notably are the black & white stripes. Yes, that's right referee style stripes! So go pull out that old Halloween referee costume you have stuffed in the back of your closet.

Packing For Valentine's In NYC
I'm going to New York to visit my boyfriend for 7 days, and I am trying to figure out what I should pack.
The first thing I do when packing to go somewhere is figure out what the weather is projected to be. For my trip the temperature should be high 30s, low 40s and sunny.
The next thing I do is figure out any specific and general plans. For my trip I will arrive in upstate NY on the evening of the 13th. My boyfriend has class until 9pm on the 14th (Valentine's) so we're just planning to go see a late movie. On the 15th we thought we could go out to a local bar with some of his friends. For the 16th we are going into the city to celebrate a friend's Birthday. We will be going out to a nice dinner and a bar/club afterwards. We have no specific plans for the 17th and 18th, but we will likely enjoy a meal at one of our favorite noodle restaurants and I anticipate we will be doing quite a bit of walking. I am leaving on the afternoon of the 19th.
Now the fun part: PICKING OUTFITS!!!
